Our current favorite finds — hand-picked this week by our team. Each one earned its place; here’s why.
Makita 18V LXT Brushless 2-Pc Combo Kit
Why we picked it: Two brushless tools, two 5.0Ah batteries, and a charger — a drill/driver and circular saw that arrive ready for a full day of work. Makita’s LXT batteries are everywhere, so replacements and add-ons are never a hunt. If you’re starting or refreshing a cordless lineup, this is the kit that skips the toy aisle entirely.

DEWALT 12″ Double-Bevel Sliding Miter Saw
Why we picked it: The DWS780 is the saw other saws get compared to — a 12-inch slider that crosscuts 2×14 at 90° and 2×10 at 45° with a cutline shadow that never needs adjusting. The 15-amp motor doesn’t flinch at hardwood. If you want one miter saw that ends the debate, this is it.

DEWALT 20-Volt MAX Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/2 in. Compact Drill/Driver Kit with 2.0 Ah Battery and Charger DCD701C2
Why we picked it: A compact, no-fuss drill kit that covers 90% of drilling and driving in a home shop — light, balanced, and easy to control overhead. The 2.0Ah battery and charger come in the box, so it’s ready the day it arrives. If you want one drill that disappears into the hand instead of fighting it, this is it.
